The Express Report is a very simple and effective report that focuses on just the significant defects, weathertightness and significant maintenance. It is quick to read and will include clear photos and descriptions of the issues identified.

The Detailed Report expands on the Express Report by providing a Healthy Homes Assessment, information on asbestos products associated with the property and reviewing the council property file information to assist in identifying non-permitted building work.

Many banks now require a Comprehensive Weathertightness Report when lending on certain properties, particularly plaster-clad or higher-risk homes. These reports must include non-invasive moisture testing throughout the dwelling and be completed by a suitably qualified weathertightness assessor.
At Property Check, we provide Comprehensive Weathertightness Reports that meet bank requirements.

Darin is Christchurch based. He has over 20 years building surveying experience with over 30 Years in building and administration, providing leadership and quality control, Darin has a Diploma in Building Surveying. He is also a Member of New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors (NZIBS); a Certified Weathertightness Assessor; and a Registered Independent Qualified Person (IQP).
